Is that a 1-series or a 3? What year/model?
2012 135i M Sport.
My 335i is the same color. It's been a great car (fuel pump issues got
worked out under warranty). 🙂👍
My car had an electric water pump failure under warranty...
...and a failure of the o-rings on the oil filter housing...
...leading to oil leaking down onto the alternator...
...leading to a replacement of the alternator...
...and that wasn't under warranty.
Moral of the story:
If your 335i is using the same engine design, be very aware of you start
to smell any oil burning.

I was window shopping Bimmers and found a 1-series online (2010-12ish) that
was really cheap. Then after it hadn’t been bought for a month it got
cheaper and the listing started detailing some of the issues. Hard pass.
I’ve always been interested in an entry level older BMW. There was another
one that was kinda cool looking but I was already in the process of dealing
with my Civic getting rear-ended and totaled and replacing it with an HR-V.
I also had my eye on an ILX around the same price range. Those were pretty
much fancier Civics. I rarely see them and they were discontinued.
For some reason my Youtube feed coughs up rando videos on oddball cars.
Recently it was a 1971 Pantera being driven and I was smitten. Looks like
the sort of car it would be too easy to die in but having too much fun with
the demise. F’in beast.
I’m happy with the HR-V as a small crossover with a higher stance than my
Civic had. Maybe I’ll keep looking at 1-series Bimmers online. They seem
expensive to maintain, but cheaper to get into than a Mercedes or Porsche.
911s are a bit steep for me.
A tricked out 1-series would be sweet though I’d be better off with some
Japanese platform hot rod. I seriously don’t get stance cars with weird
camber.
