 There's no point in upgrading if you disable all the new bits. Will keep
watching to see how Apple "mature" the tech.
 

Opting out of Apple Intelligence isn't "disabling all the new bits".
I can see why it wouldn't ENcourage you to upgrade your phone, but if you don't want to use it, it should be NEUTRAL to you.
Choose to upgrade as if it didn't exist.
