Any way to kill that?

Why do you delete text messages from people you share your
location with?

For me, I like to keep my iPhone's Messages app empty if possible. I
don't like to hoarde.
I want past conversations available for reference. My memory isn't
what it used to be. The only conversations I manually delete are ones
I know will never be needed again like appointment confirmations, two
factor PINS, spam, etc.
iMessages has a setting where messages older than xx days are
automatically deleted. That may be an acceptable solution.
