My son's iPhone 12 died so he now has an iPhone 15. I finally got
it home and plugged it in.
Why "finally"?
Because he's away at college.
Did he buy the new phone? Has he been able to use it before you plugged it
in? If not why not?
The screen is light green and has an Apple
logo. There is a thin white vertical line on the left side of the
screen. Every five seconds the screen blacks out then comes back
to the green screen. It also makes no noise or indication that
power has been connected. I can't really tell if it's charging or
stuck in an infinite boot up load.
Feel free to diagnose and troubleshoot.
It's faulty. Take it back from where you/he bought it and get a
refund.
Would they give me a refund for model that's three versions old and
purchased 3+ years ago?
I meant the new phone is faulty. Oh wait? Is your description purely about
the 12. The 15 is working fine. Right? If that's the case take it to Apple
or other reputable repair and see what they say.
