Hello,
How do I tell iPhone's iOS Mail app about the new/changed
password with MS Outlook.com account? I don't see an option to
change its password in iOS v17.4.1's Settings' Mail Accounts'
Outlook (not MS' Outlook app -- Apple's default Mail app). Do I
really have to remove the account, readd, enter the new password,
and synchronizes my emails that I am reading online (e.g.,
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254401200 and
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254075400)?
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)
It depends how you set it up originally. For an exchange server or perhaps
even outlook.com account it doesn't save a password, but uses a token set
by MS to verify your iphone. A change of password doesn't change the token.
Gmail is the same these days as well.
Have you actually changed your password and are you unable to receive or
send emails?
In the past with old gmail if I changed the password iOS would bring up a
pop-up asking to re-authenticate the mail app.
