I have a hard time seeing and reading the user comments of some apps in the
App Store. The stars are there with the number of ratings, but the user
comments ara not. I know that I also left comments on an app that I use,
but could not find them appear published in the App Store. This would be
very rare for Android apps in the Play Store. What gives?

Maybe you can summarize what the developers in the above threads found out.
 

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. According to these links, a new app
update wipes out old comments, though my own comments were made only days
ago and the last app version update was a month ago. So there is more at
work here than the links state. As I said, this is not done by Google on
their Play Store.
