Meanwhile every other operating system fully supports multiple releases.
Windows, in fact, fully supports two for something like a decade now.
Android fully supports EVERY release for a period of up to 5 to 7 years.
 
Yet Apple only fully supports a single release & never has done otherwise.

Why do you think it's only Apple that fully supports only a single release?

If you perform a full upgrade of your operating system you will receive all
the security updates dates for that new version. “No one” stays on the
original software version for the lifetime of the device.
