No, I did not use different method and there was no family member involved.
But luckily I just discovered today in my bank account that the amount was
refunded. So, I assume I also was a victim of the bank’s malfunction
described in the article I posted here earlier.

Good news - esp. not having to wait on the phone to try to kill it.
