You religious zealots always jump to the conclusion that everyone who
is not an Apple nutcase must be an Android nutcase - which just isn't
true.
Yet what he said is true: We don't see you criticizing other companies
for it even though they do CSAM scanning and are much more invasive
about it than Apple proposed.
First off, I agree with anyone proposing a sensibly logical opinion.
One which is based on the facts and which is supported by those facts.
Hence, I agreed with your statements that what Apple is doing is far better
than what Google & Facebook are doing - which is an unreasonable breach of
privacy.
If you think I defend Google, you must truly be nuts.
And even more so, if you think I defend Facebook, you must be nuts.
You Apple zealots think everyone is a religious zealot, Jolly Roger.
For you, it's all about the company and not about the technology.
For me, hell, I don't like Facebook any more than I don't like Apple.
Nor Microsoft. Nor Google. I don't defend any of the OEMs to death, JR.
I don't defend Google to the death any more than I would defend Microsoft
to the death. I say the truth about all operating systems, Jolly Roger.
You don't see that because you are here to defend Apple to the death.
In this case, I agree with you on Apple's record on not reporting images.
However... what none of us know is the conviction rate of these image
reports, where for all we know exactly zero people may have been convicted.
If that's the case, then this whole CSAM crap is a crime against privacy.
The articles are just clickbait without that critical missing information.
