Hi badgolferman,
I can converse with you differently than with the zealots, where the first
observation I would make is that every company in the world would like to
become more like Apple - don't you think?
*Almost no R&D yet with brilliant Marketing resulting in immense profits*
Who wouldn't want to be like Apple with a cult following that waits on line
to buy the latest YELLOW!!!! iPhone with a BRUSHED TITANIUM body!!!! with
all cheap components inside (e.g., the crappy battery) at twice the price?
Think about that.
Apple pioneered a phone without basic hardware & still makes huge profits.
Samsung then copied Apple's brilliant Marketing of loss of functionality.
*It's not that you no longer get a charger. Oh no!!!! You're actually*
*saving the environment by buying the right sized charger at extra cost!*
At the same time Apple saved the environment by charging you for the
charger that wasn't in the box, Apple then claims lower GHG emissions!
Wow! A win for everyone, right?
In summary, Apple has the most brilliant marketing on the planet, so it's
not surprising that other companies copy Apple's many marketing tricks.
Note: It's surprising no Android OEM is copying Apple's cheap batteries.
