The explanation is very simple: iPhones are smartphones. Smartphones are
battery-operated devices. As batteries age, they generate more heat
during charging and discharging. This applies to all smartphones.
Replacing the battery in your old iPhone will restore performance.
The iPhone battery is cheap garbage, Jolly Roger, and you know that.
So it needs to be replaced more frequently. At greater expense.
Due to the notoriously crappy batteries Apple uses in iPhones, the effect
that Jolly Roger alludes to is far worse for iPhones than for Androids.
The reasons are well known why batteries die more often for iPhones, and
why the iPhone is designed specifically to make replacement infeasible.
It's not only that iPhone battery replacements can be ten times that of
Android battery replacements, but iPhones batteries need more replacing.
That's mainly due to the fact iPhone batteries are about half size overall.
No amount of clever Apple MARKETING can overcome lack of battery capacity.
Nor the fact an Apple battery, spec to spec, costs you 10x that of Android.
