For the first time, ever, Apple isn't embarrassed about iPhone crappy RAM
<
https://www.tomsguide.com/phones/iphones/all-iphone-16-models-have-8gb-ram-and-apple-just-explained-why>
Apple executive confirms 8GB in every [new] model & explains the decision, where, let's be clear, Apple provided the absolute bare minimum possible.
The Apple executives confirmed that fact, in fact.
Historically, Apple doesn't reveal technical specs like battery capacity or
the amount of RAM in its iPhones because they're so embarrassingly crappy.
In general, the iPhone has half the RAM and half the battery capacity of a
modern phone, which is why Apple is known to not tout their crappy design.
But no more (at least on the crappy iPhone RAM anyway)... "an Apple executive has now confirmed reports that all four members of the iPhone 16 family will pack 8GB RAM for the first time, and explained the rationale.
The Apple developer tool Xcode 16 already confirmed 8GB RAM
on all four models, with the assumption that this is the minimum required to make the handset's AI feature set - Apple Intelligence - function. That would explain why the iPhone 15 Pro makes the cut, while the basic iPhone 15 and its 6GB RAM does not."
Notice while Apple has always screwed its customers on iPhone RAM, the best
Apple will do for its loyal customers is the *bare minimum* possible RAM
for AI.
-- That statement from the Apple executive himself, shows how incrediblycynical Apple is toward its own customer base - whom Apple screws daily.
