with an average expected life of 3-4 years.

That makes this strategy very easy. After roughly 2 years the battery
indicates still 100% SOH.

I'm using a piece of software called "AlDente" from here:

The basic version will limit charging and allow you to discharge a battery your preferred level if it goes above for any reason, but I spent the money for the Pro version with lots of additional options.
