Sorry about the earlier post. As I am bilingual, sometimes I forget the
right language to use. So here is the English version:

I often missed the ability to measure the temperature near me with my
mobile phone. Accuweather and other apps are not good for this.
Obviously, a built-in chip wouldn't be good either, because it would
take the temperature of the heated iPhone. I was thinking of some
external gadget that could be plugged into the USB-C port with an app
written for it that would show the temperature. I don't want to carry
around a manual thermometer.

There are so many apps that interface to an external thermometer, that all
you need to do is pick the specialty thermometer type that you're seeking.

While all thermometers have their pros and cons based on their design and
intended use, there are also, as you noted, apps that work solely on the
phone.

For example, this is a well-rated free adfree gsfree thermometer app.

Here's one (of many) for the iOS operating system (dunno if it works).

Why not test one of those free ad-free apps and let us know how it goes?

Following your tips, I discovered one device I like. It is called
SensorPush and works with Bluetooth connection. It is really small and uses
Bluetooth connection. It costs $49.99 in the US. Unfortunately they would
charge almost as much for VAT and shipping it to me in Hungary. I also
looked at Amazon’s German affiliate that would not charge me those extra
fees due to common EU membership, but they don’t carry it (yet). I guess
because it is so new even in the US. So I may wait for a while to see if it
shows up in the amazon.de portal soon.
