killfiled someone.  It's a weak attempt to exercise some power over

You're right!  It doesn't matter what I think of it.  For that matter I
don't care that he left.  What matters is his display of superiority.

I think it something of a courtesy for him to announce to others that he is
leaving. People aren’t left wondering what happened as with nospam. It’s
dickish to frame it as you do.
