Looks like you and Lorenz have something in common. Too bad you
can't work together with sms to improve his document.

Did you mean Joerg Lorenz or Steve Scharf?

Assuming you meant Steve, we do have a lot in common in that both of
us have EE degrees and both of us live in the Santa Cruz Mountains,
and both of us use both iOS & Android platforms all the time & we
both post here.

Another thing both of us have in common is we're both one in thousands
(maybe even one in tens of thousands) who go to the immense trouble to
write detailed summaries to HELP people do technical things we can do.

I wouldn't be surprised if Steve also was invited to Amazon Vine, for
example, since their algorithms seek out intelligent HELPFUL people.

None of the Apple trolls (such as Joerg Lorenz) will ever do that.
Those Apple trolls are on Usenet merely for their own sadistic
amusement.

Not to learn. Not to help people.
I help people all day, every day.

An example is the instant I wrote up the response for you prior, I
modified it so that it can be leveraged to thousands of Windows &
Android users. *Clever helpful suggestion for portable memory using
Windows & Android editors*

How many people are that kind hearted badgolferman? Not many, right.
How many people are that helpful for others badgolferman? Very few.

And, how many people are intelligent enough to KNOW all that stuff?
The vast majority of people are so incredibly stupid, it makes me
puke.

Certainly not a single Apple trolls could even earn a college degree.
Which is why all they can do is troll.

Back to Steve and me with that as the important background:
a. Steve is intelligent, as am I.
b. Steve is well educated, as am I.
c. Steve cared to educate people, as do I.
And... d. Steve uses iOS & Android every day - as do I.

Both Steve and I know the difference between iOS and Android.
And it's shockingly huge that difference.

The main difference is that Apple's basic marketing strategy is to
fuck the customer in a way that forces that customer to buy something
from Apple.
>
Note that the entire profit margin for Apple is predicated on that
strategy and yet, you won't hear any news outlet say it the way I
just said it.
>
Why not?

I don't know why but I presume there are two fundamental reasons:
a. They make money by selling ads and products so they can't tell the
truth b. They probably don't even know the truth about Apple (See
my observation above that most people are incredibly stupid.)
>
With that in mind, to your point that Steve & I should collaborate,
I've tried that by emailing him my resume (which has my degrees on
it) and sending him the updates to his ios-android comparison
document.
>
But Steve never responded. I know his email address as he used to be
the Mayor of Cupertino.
>
Notice that puts him in an awkward position, being Cupertino after
all.

So what I did, multiple times, is create a throwaway email address,
and then I sent him similar updates but he didn't respond to those
either.
>
The email didn't bounce. It was pulled off one of his old resumes.
What he did do once though, was COPY my images I gave him (which was
fine by me) so I know he got the emails correcting his document.
>
But to date, except for a rare correction that he couldn't
contravene, he doesn't really update that document as much as he
claims that he does.
>
As for Steve's document, it's not as bad as those like nospam have
claimed it is, as nospam's goal was merely to make excuses for
Apple's many flaws.
>
The main problem, as I saw it, in Steve's document was:
a. Steve knows iOS better than I do, but, b. I know Android far
better than Steve does.
>
Steve knows what iOS can do because Steve actually enjoys using iOS.
I hate using iOS because it's so crippling to do the simplest of
things.
>
But I love Android because it does thousands of things iOS can't do.
>
Mind you - there's no reason iOS can't do them other than Apple won't
let you do them - and therein lies the real problem of Apple's goal
being to first fuck the customer - and then - provide the squirming
customer with a ready-made marketing solution to the problem that
Apple itself created.

Like portable memory, for example.
I actually did mean you, Lorenz and sms. Lorenz claims to use both
android and ios. He also claims to know everything about everything
when he tells the rest of we don't understand anything. The amount of
experience the two of you have could be very helpful to sms, but your
point is well taken. Lorenz doesn't want to help anyone and sms
doesn't want anyone's help. That leaves you in the middle with no one
be helpful to.
