Has that been your experience also that the Apple Maps underlying
database is different depending on what version of iOS your Apple

Honestly I don't like the interface of Apple Maps and don't use it
unless I use my work iPhone 14 to look up an address. There are no
apps on that phone other than approved or default ones.
Well, what was odd was the "Gulf of America" showed up without an iOS
update, but Mount McKinley didn't show up until after the iOS update.
That's odd to me because, logically, the Apple Maps app, I would think,
would just access an online server somewhere to get its maps from, right?
Anyway, when I searched how to find the Apple Maps version I found out
there is no version (go figure) as it's part of the operating system.
In summary, even though I would never have guessed this is the case, it
seems that what a person gets for Denali/Mount McKinley is (perhaps)
dependent on the specific version of the iOS/iPadOS operating system.
Who knew. Not me.
Now I do.
Thanks for bringing up this useful conversation for the group to ponder.
