Why, you are already using Face ID to unlock your phone. I don't understand
why you would want to require the same to just open the app.

your screen lock PIN.

 

iOS 18.2 (or .3) added the functionality that you can add FaceID to any
app.

 
Not any app. Almost all apps. I was told that Apple's native iOS apps
can't be Face ID protected. :(
