Have a nice day.
Why would your newsreader tell you there are unread messages available
if you've set up filters to block messages? Shouldn't those messages
be ignored by the newsreader and not included in the total unread? My
newsreader works that way. Surely you have an option to mark the
filtered messages as read or ignored. I would assume even newsreaders
like Xnews which use scoring files do the same.
The same applies to Thunderbird.
