The most off-topic subject is whining about off-topic subjects. Just
saying

Oh dear. Is my face red. I feel I owe this group, as well as the entire
Usenet my deepest apologies for posting an off-topic response to an off-
topic message thread. I have corrected the subject line to compensate for
my egregious error. In my 30+ years as a Usenet user, I have made many
mistakes, but this one really takes the cake.
