Then how did your server allow the following message without any Follow-
up ?

From: Père Sonnes <pere.sonnes@meta-science.fr>
Newsgroups: fr.sci.zetetique,fr.soc.religion,fr.sci.philo

It's not the only one.

can not be done on i2pn2 so it must have been a different server. i2pn2
limits posting to a max of 6 groups.
As far as I remember, yes it was from a different server (and "Père
Sonnes"
was banned from it).

users, and for my web interfaces that feed through i2pn2, the limit is
even more restricted.
That's great - and I really mean it.
>These are all attempts to limit the amount of abuse that can happen on>
my servers, and so far it seems to work well. As I find holes in the
filtering, I'll try to fix it. But I will not restrict ideas and
opinions. I have users that post things I strongly disagree with, but I
don't not prohibit them from expressing these views.
It's not a matter of ideas or opinions.

First it's a matter of technical abuse on the fr hierarchy. You cleary
answered that your server forbid xpost to 2+ groups without fu2 (as you
stated above). I guess the MID I mentioned was before you enforce
filtering.
Second, and this one is tricky, there are ground rules on fr. XpostingThe filter for requiring Followup-To was simple to implement, and I only
to
fr.soc.politique (where I can assure you that free speech is totaly
alive)
is considered as an abuse. Posting off topic *on a regular basis* is
also
considered an abuse. It's NOT a matter of opinion, it's just a matter of
being on topic.
