Nobody (except one person here) wants crossposts to be forbidden, it's one very specific case with only two people heavily polluting for years.

Where is free speech when one person forbids all other to post on usenet because he appropriates groups for his business (because he's selling things to, he claims he's a kind of a fortune-teller) ?
The problem is you don't understand the problem because you don't speak french and don't read this groups, nor does the newsmaster of the server used to pollute. Everybody(not him, really everybody) here can watch somewhere else.
