Well that would be for the best for the Russians and
for the rest of the world. The Russian Empire under the Soviet
system, the present system and the Czarist system brutalized
the peoples of the Empire.
I really doubt that homosexuals are running NATO but
if they are I believe they are well-educated and doing the
best job they can.

 Russia, however, has WORKING thermonuclear bombs and delivery systems.

So does the USA, North Korea, China, Pakistan, the UK, France and likely
Israel.
As a matter of fact we in the USA alone likely have enough
nuclear weaponry to destroy civilization but that would mean the
billionaires in the USA, the Oligarchs in Russia, the Authoritarians
in China would have to forgo profits to be made.
So it is not very likely.
