No Dave, people like you were against the 13th Doctor from
the start. The Timeless Child had nothing to do with it. (It
didn't help, obviously, but it wasn't the start of the fan
unrest.) Check back on all the comments online following
Jodie Whittaker's casting. Some fans were against it from
day one.

Cut the stupid and crappy fake news.
Oh dear... looks like your memory is failing you. There's
nothing fake about my comments, maybe you should stand by some
of your own... (Note to AGA, I have the RADW archive back to
2003 on my PC)
For instance. I wonder who could have been responsible for this
lovely post? Hmmm...
There's nothing wrong with my post. Anyone with any modicum of common sense would have asked exactly the same questions that I did.
Just because someone don't agree with your stupid retarded woke views doesn't mean that they are wrong or unjustified.

Thread title: The Case to sack Chris Chibnall.
Date: 18th July 2017
[Note: Jodie Whittaker's casting announcment was 16th July 2017]
Chris Chibnall must explain his rationale behind the choice of a
female Doctor and explain how this is going to attract and keep
male viewers, especially ones under the age of puberty, and get
women to watch the show.
Firstly the majority of women are not impressed with the idea of
a female Doctor. 3/4 of them are not into science fiction and of
those that are the majority only watch it because they fancy the
lead protagonist because he's a man. Since half have expressed
that they will stop watching, this leaves the show appealing to
1/8 of women viewers, and half of those probably won't watch
unless there's a credible romance, leaving 1/16.
No boy under the age of puberty is going to be impressed by the
choice of a female Doctor and they will no watch the show
period. They want a strong male role model to identify with
their father, not a woman to substitute for their mother, or a
girlfriend.
That just leaves male viewers over the age of 13. Half of them
are not going to watch from the start. Of the remaining half
they will only watch if they fancy the lead actress.
Blah Blah Blah... [it goes on]
-------------------------------------------------
First, any claims that you were not against Jodie Whittaker from
day one are BULLSHIT. As proven by your own posts to RADW.
They are not bullshit. They are everyday common sense. The Doctor is a MALE character. How the hell do you expect a MALE character, someone who thinks, acts, behaves, and live their lives in the manner of a man, to be played by a woman? If the Doctor isn't male then how can they be the same character?
Secondly, you hadn't seen Jodie's first episode as the Doctor in
I'd seen the crap that she'd previously appeared in and knew from that that she was a week talentless actress unsuitable for the role and I was proven right. Jo Martin did a better job at playing the Doctor in 15 minutes that Whittaker ever did in 3 entire series and a couple of specials.
July 2017, so you were completly unable to rationally judge her
performance as the 13th Doctor. You're are right though, to you
she was miscast as the Doctor, because she was a female. You
made this point clear enough.
The Doctor is a MALE character. On top of her lack of acting skills, stage presence, gravitas, and charisma, the fact that she was a woman that was cast to play a MALE character was the biggest factor ruling her out for playing the role.
More importantly... IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TIMELESS
CHILD. In July 2017 nobody in fandom knew anything about the
Timeless Child.
The Timeless Child monster killed off the entire series from the very second episode immediately after over 10 million people including myself had given Whittaker the chance to prove herself. Without the Timeless Child monster both Whittaker and Gatwa could have been endured.
You can have your opinions, like us all, but cut the bullshit.
You were against Jodie Whittaker's Doctor as she was a female.
Full stop.
Why should I have supported her? It was a totally stupid gimmick that any intelligent writer would have called out immediately.
If you'd like me to repost some of your old messages on this
issue, no problem. But it started at the very beginning, not
after you'd seen any of her episodes... and before any Timeless
Child mention.
Own it.
Whittaker was given a chance and she failed. I am perfectly entitled to point out what I thought would lead to that failure even before the first episode.
Despite that The Timeless Child monster destroyed the series completely, and that happened from the very second episode when the monster was first introduced.
People can get over Whittaker, but they can never get over the damage done by the monstrosity of the Timeless Child.
