Then how come Catholicism has major elements of paganry?
The Pagan SAW how much better it was to "follow" Catholic
Rites and Rituals than to stay as Pagans, Gobble-de-gook, ...
YOU know "Safety in Numbers!!".
Or as more likely, the Pagan's saw how friendly the Christian's
actually were so they decided to follow suit and convert... as
opposed to being persecuted and killed for not believing in some
Jewish fella nailed to a cross.
Charlemagne didn't go through Europe handing out "Jesus Saves"
leaflets and offering free tea and biscuits to any Saxons who
wanted to become Christian, did he? (Massacre of Verden etc.)
Nope. They systematically went around trying to force people to convert to their idiotic religion of Christianity.
In one case the Christian church even proclaimed they had converted an entire island of pagans/heathens ... the reality was that they had in fact killed all the inhabitants and simply taken over the island with their own church people.
Some of theses religious morons still go around trying to force people to convert, although mostly less violently. Covid rules stopped the door-knocking morons for a while, but they back again now.
