Then of course there are the rumours that Disney isn't happy and is waiting to see how well or not this new season does before making any decision, which then means the BBC can't make
a decision / announcement. Just one more issue to add to the
pile of problams with the Disney agreement.
I'd be very surprised if the BBC didn't have some contingency plans in place to cover every option... "Doctor Who" is one of
its biggest shows. I doubt the show is in complete limbo, I'd
like to think there is a plan B.
A new Showrunner with a new vision?
No Dave, that's not the point I was making.
My point is... with all this talk about waiting until S15/S2 airs
before Disney decide on whether to order more episodes of "Doctor
Who" or not... and the BBC waiting on whether Disney will invest
further in Doctor Who, or not... somebody at the BBC or Bad Wolf
Studios MUST have a contingency plan for either scenario. It wouldn't
make sense for the bods at the BBC to just be sitting around
twiddling its thumbs until June. RTD and the Doctor Who production
office couldn't work that way.
What about the other Series that Disney was supposedly financing ....
'The SeaDevils' or some such?? Wouldn't that give BBC/Bad Wolf a bit of
time to get a third Series in the Can??

So, there has to be plans of some sort and some draft scripts around
the place in case they will be needed. RTD & Co will obviously be
hoping that they will. The nay-sayers will be hoping they won't and
"Doctor Who" is cancelled! Disney not buying more episodes doesn't
necessarily mean the end of Doctor Who. As if that was the case, it
would have been a silly position for the BBC to get itself in to with
one of it's biggest TV shows.
