 Yeah. The saying itself comes from the epic poem “The Rime of the Ancient
Mariner” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. After the Mariner kills the albatross
that the crew believed was bringing them good luck, they hang it around his
neck to remind him of the curse that they think he has brought upon them.

So apparently The Timeless Child is the albatross around the neck of Doctor Who ... a burden / curse that is stopping it from being the good show it was before that.
Realistically, the "albatross" is all the Politically Correct idiocy, but that infests most of the planet these days and is the albatross around the neck of all normal, sensible people.  :-(
