The goal-posts only move when somebody puts up a convincing

Agamemnon is not always wrong, but when he is he just
doubles-down and tries to convince us all that it is us that
are wrong. It's like RADW is some highly educated place
popular among the masses where you have to save face rather
than say, ok, that makes sense. Not a niche area of the
internet populated by twenty geeky fans of a British TV
show...

Whilst Dave, bless
him, tries his best but when he is proven wrong he gets
flustered and resorts to random Bible quotes to back up his
arguments... that's when you know you've got him! So yes, they
are a bit similar in some ways, but there is also a clear
difference.

Neither of them ever admit they’re wrong. But both of them almost
invariably are. (And when Aggy does have a point, it usually gets so buried
in delusion and fascist misogynistic fantasies that it’s impossible for a
reasonable person to agree with it without risking being drowned in
lunacy).

Dave is too brainwashed to recognise logic or reason, and Aggy is so
batshit crazy that his theoretical ability to reason becomes rather a moot
point.

 
I do still get bemused that AGA would prefer to align himself
with one-line Dave than the people here who will discuss things
with him properly like an adult, but that's the way our fish
pond seems to operate. <shrugs>

Aggy likes Dave because Dave agrees with Aggy. In Aggy’s world only people
who agree with him are educated or intelligent, which unfortunately makes
Dave about the brightest and smartest person Aggy knows.
