We've just gotten over "Black Friday" .... Even though the

Er... "Black Friday" is the 29th November... so it's not over
yet.
Which means there's plenty of bargains to be had...
Er... I would seem I'm mistaken. Oh, well, shit happens!!
Yes, it does. Try not to make a habit of it though as you'll
only end up in the NotKnow catagory like somebody else here...
and we wouldn't want that now, would we?!
Or the mean people, like us, who just can't be bothered.
Grinchs of the world, UNITE!!
Unless you've children/grandchildren in the house the only good
thing about Christmas is the two weeks off work...
It's also the stinking hot summer time here in New Zealand, so ...
- if you're still at school or a teacher, then that means
four to six weeks holiday (depending on the kids' ages -
the older ones get longer, especially since they have
their year-end exams in November, which means lots of
time of for 'studying' / swotting up).
- if you're a university student or a lecturer, then that
means about eight weeks holiday (again with extra time off
in October / November for the end-of-year / course exams).
- if you're a TV current affairs show host, then that
means about 12 weeks holiday (ending for the year in
November and not restarting until March).
but then again, you're expected to go out and visit people whilst you're
off... and if you don't, the fuckers will only arrive on...
Far too hot here to bother going outside except by necessity for groceries, unless you're a complete moron who thinks baking yourself in the sun is a "good idea". :-)
<thinks>
I take it back, there's nothing good about Christmas...
Yep. A waste of time (and for many people too much money) on a silly holiday stolen from the pagans and faked into being "Christian" one b the conmen in the church.
