Given her name, I'd guess that rather than being a Time Lord she's a
descendant of Amy Pond / Melody Pond (River Song). I suppose if she's
the daughter of River Song, she could be the Doctor's daughter too

Why would that be a problem in genetics, what did I forget?

I don't think she can be anyone who'd not notice a blue box standing 
around randomly, and only drop her bags when it moves in or out.
