 What happens to that extra matter if The Doctor regenerates into a smaller body?? Or vice-versa??
 If (whatever) can happen in a Male --> Male transition, why can't similar happen in a Male --> Female transition or in a Female -> Male transition??

That is tantamount to condoning abortion at all stages of pregnancy. What about the life of the unborn child?
