HOW do we know this, Binky?? I can't recall ANY PARTICULAR

You might need to re-watch the episode, there definitely was
some message trying to be conveyed around Christianity within
the episode, but whether it was pro-Christianity or
anti-Christianity is another matter. I recall there being fans
that took both things from "Gridlock" back then.

I just found the episode boring...

Rewatching as I type!!
O.K., the only 'Religious'-type reference I found was at the start. The Face of Boe is being attended to by a Cat-Nurse who's uniform reminded me of the Uniform worn by Sister (whatever) in "The Flying Nun" series from the 70's.
She then abducts The Doctor from the pits of the Motorway and places him, with "The Face of Boe" in the Local Senate Chambers .... and "The Doctor" resurrects/revives "The Face of Boe" who then opens the lids of the motorways so the local population can fly up into the sky.
Now, what's the message For/Against Christianity (a word that is not even mentioned)?? ....
Cat-persons who look like The Flying Nun who then kidnap The Doctor are GOOD GUYS at heart because they SAVE The World?? Sounds about right to me!!
Should the show have ridiculed Nurses by making them look like Cats?? Probably Not!!
