The social commentary has dated badly in the year or so since

I'm guessing that "amoung us" is a reference to the wider world "us"
rather than just this little group of us's. ;-P

Well there are a number of so-called alt-right DW commentators
(some of whom have been mentioned on here).  Who hated Jodie for
being a woman, who hate Ncuti for being black and gay, who hate
non-white actors in prominent roles in the show, who hate disabled
actors in prominent roles in the show, who hated DW being trans-
inclusive. Who just constantly drip negativity about the show. 
If they hate it that much why don't they just fucking turn the
TV off and go and do something more interesting instead.
