the imbecilic and illiterate DEI hire they recruited to write the episode decided to make it into a story justifying terrorism to children

The only snag with this idea being that the story did NOT try to justify terrorism to children - or indeed terrorism, to anyone.
Urm yes it did. It made terrorism into a choice between two evils, that of the terrorists, and that of the Corporation. The ending which featured the performance of a political song against the Corporation by a same species friend of the terrorists signalled that the audience should choose terrorism as being the lesser of the two evils, capitalism being the biggest evil of all.
And decent writer with a moral compass would have made the terrorists pure evil, with their cause indicated to be completely unjustified and deserving of no sympathy whatsoever.
