1. Appeasing the Politically Correct whiners with idiocy
like gender-swapping established characters..
Most of the whiners would whine about the show anyway...
it's a bit like blaming dogs for barking. It's what they do!
Like you about the McCooy Era?
I've told you before, I am allergic to people who roll
their R's and think playing spoons is entertainment. So
it's a medical condition.
2. Trying to "Americanise" it with the silly movie.
Now, now... at least the TVM made a point of shooting
Sylvester McCoy's Doctor... that's got to be worth
something, surely?
As I was saying about your whining.
Everybody has to die. So why not Sylvester McCoy's Doctor?
I thought it was the most entertaining part of the movie.
3. Taking Disney's money and shutting out a large
proportion of their international audience.
The thing is, the BBC are on the search for another
streaming company to invest in the show... so it looks like
they'd rather have the $$ than a non-UK audience who just
want to watch Doctor Who for free.
The streaming failure shows.
The toothpaste isn't going to go back into the tube... and
'free' Doctor Who might well be a thing of the past for our
overseas comrades... unless they choose to sail the high seas.
Or buy the DVDs and pay your money direct to the BBC rather than Disney. At least you can watch the DVDs whenever you want, whereas when Disney decides to drop the show you won't be able to re-watch it at all.
