 The Mank of the title is Herman J Mankiewicz " played by Gary Oldman "
and it's a slice of a moment in the life of a wit, an alcoholic, and the
screenwriter who co-wrote Citizen Kane with Orson Welles, although Welles
wanted all of the credit, according to the film.
 There is very little information about how the script was written or what
decisions went into it. Beautifully shot in black and white and if there was a
narrator, someone would swear it's a “film noir.” An interesting
production with good performances that is utter empty. And tedious..
 There isn't really anything else to say.
After watching The Lighthouse, I am down for more modern black and white
movies, looks so damn interesting. This is a response to the post seen at:
