The question is one of whether you actually gave it to Stinky Zid.
In the copy of the email you'd posted to show Jim that... hell, I can't
figure out what it was supposed to be showing him... your told Stinky
that Jim's money arrived and invited him out for steak dinner.
And, of course, either that night or the following one, you made you
made that famous post about how you and Brother Dave had been attacked
by a "maniac" with a metal rod.
The "maniac" turned out to be Stinky George, who'd waylaid you both
outdoors.
You've been buddies with Stinky for... what?... thirty or forty years?
Stinky had never attacked you and Dave with a metal rod before.  And,
AFAIK, he hasn't attacked you since.
You claimed that Stinky was just "blackout drunk" and that it was only
the booze that brought on the attack.  But you've never breathed a work
about any other "blackout drunk" attacks by his Stinkiness.
Could it have been that Stinky George was unaware that the $50 had been
for him?
I know that if I were about to be thrown out on the street, and someone
had sent my friend $50 to tide my landlord over until a check I was
expecting arrived, I'd be pretty darned angry if I found out that my
friend blew that money on a steak dinner for three.
