Glad to see Television make the list.

Damn! I just took them last night to make room for Patti Smith.

Enough of that. No more changes to part 1.

Do you HAVE to do these in chronological order?
No, but we need some way to give them structure; I try to organize some
Dancehalls other ways (usually lyrical content) so they're not always
the same, but chronological is the default. Most of them are done that
way. Loosely chronological - the songs are organized by year, but I sort
the songs within a year by how they sound together.
If so we may be better off just ending it at part one.
We have over 10 songs already for part 2. I'll never get them all on
part 1, and leaving them off is not an option.
If possible, here's one for
Dancehall part two:

1980 again. OK, here's one thing we can do: break 1980 across both
parts, so that some of the songs are in part 1 and some in part 2. It
will mean changing part 1 again, just after I said I wouldn't, but it
will allow for using some of the songs at the end of part 1 as the
opening of part 2 instead. I don't want to put all of 1980 onto part 2
(that's 8 songs!), but we can work that out at the end. At the least, it
means I can put Television back on now by moving one song to the
beginning of part 2. (I'm thinking Whip It.)
I'm not sure right now what to use as the end date. One New Wave list
I've looked at includes Take on Me, which is 1985, so I'd say we could
go that far into the '80s at least. And they tend to be longer songs, so
we'll need less to fill it - I'm thinking 30, and we already have more
than 10.
If worse comes to worst, we can pillage part 2 of One-Hit Wonders; the
first half of that has a lot of new wave.
