Oops, I'll actually type something this time :)

rec.arts.poe does not appear to be a Usenet Newsgroup. Maybe it was a
private google group. I don't know, but I don't see it as a Usenet
group.

Thanks, Retro Guy.

I know I'd never heard of a newsgroup devoted to all things Poe but it
seems like it would probably have been somewhat popular in the heyday of
Usenet.

Something like alt.fsn.poe, as alt.fsn was all the rage back in the
early days of the eternal September.
I just did a search in my main news server's active file (where most, if
not all, text newsgroup names should exist. I searched for all groups
ending in '.poe':
egrep -i '\.poe ' active
alt.music.poe 0000000000 0000000001 y
perl.poe 0000000000 0000000001 m
That shows two groups, alt.music.poe and perl.poe, both contain no
messages. So currently, there does not appear to be such a group that I
can find.
