I met a girl
she came from California.
It was in a dream
we knew each other instantly.
She was a little freckled girl
from out of
my high school past.

We talked
a really detached situation.
She said years ago
I was so shy
she thought I was gay.
At this point I kissed her
and put my finger to her hole.

I don't know why it was
that I would think of her.
I made a couple of puns
about her name that made me blush.
But her softness in tone
made me feel all right.

>>The poetry is a snapshot from 1982, very different times which you
apparently missed, Pendragon.
Again ^^^
>>>Admittedlyobjectifying, insensitive
It was a poem based on a dream in 1982.
>
Those were different times.
If you're saying that the 1980s were before the "Me Too" movement, and
that sexually assaulting women was both commonplace and accepted among
certain (male) crowds -- that is not an excuse.

>>>Not at all, it's a very accurate depiction of a rock and roll romance
circa early 1980s

So you
(False accusations snipped)
>>No, it was all consensual, read the poem.
Again ^^^
>>You do not say that it is consensual in the poem
It's a poem, not every detail is included in a poem.
That's a very important "detail" to leave unclear.
>>>It was very clear it was consensual in the poem.
Again ^^^
>>For example, the girl didn't slap me or yell at me or anything.>
That's another classic quote
Just saying she was enjoying my company, obviously.
>
If she wasn't enjoying my company she could have easily walked away.
Or, as you had previously stated, she would have slapped you or yelled
at you.
>
Did women frequently slap and/or yell at you for coming on to them a bit
too aggressively in those days, Donkey?
>
>>Of course she didn't slap you, yell, or otherwise resist -->
Because we were just talking and having a nice time, if she didn't want
to be with me she could just leave.
>stoned out of her freakin' mind.>
Again, it was a poem about a dream and in both she was very lucid
No... in the poem she "talked real spacey" and your attempts at
conversation came across as a "really detached situation."
>
Those descriptions are hardly synonymous with "lucid."
>>Just because you weren't the one who slipped a roofie in her drink,>
>
That's definitely just another figment of your delusional imagination,
Pendragon.
>doesn't mean that you had any right to take advantage of her when in>
that state.
For starters, it's a poem about a dream.
>
I didn't see any drugs in the dream.
But you did see their effects: she "talked real spacey"/your talk
created a "really detached situation."
>
>>And don't try playing innocent about it.>
Play innocent?
>
I was absolutely innocent of any of these accusations you've making.
>
You mention, *twice* in yourpoem that she looked up at you and "talked real spacey.">
She came from California, talking real spacey like one of those Valley
Girls:
If you meant that she talked like a Valley Girl
