Dark Cat

Don't think
I'll play this game anymore.
I've seen beauty
beauty is behind a closed door.
She glitters and gleams
but she is not what she seems.
To find beauty
I must look inside.
Take down
what I see on the outside
and hide it in my memory.
These treasures I can keep with me
a page of words.
Love is just a joke
life is absurd
learn to laugh at the visions
flow through the transitions.
It all will pass
nothing's made to last,
the more you hold it
the faster it fades away.
Like the last rays of light,
on a winter's day.

Thanks, I wrote it at the break area of the Chattahoochee Valley
Community College, smoking cigarettes and drinking that great vendor
machine coffee they used to have. This was back almost twenty years ago,
before they even had an enclosed break room/coffee shop, like they do
now. It was a rustic little coven for the more intellectual of the local
yokels.

:)

There it is, Pen, Rachel was not referring to Doc, but rather, Doc's
friends...!

Case closed.
Glad we cleared that confusion up.
