Which 2005 Clarke Award Finalists Have You Read?
Iron Council by China Mieville
Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell
Market Forces by Richard Morgan
River of Gods by Ian McDonald
The System of the World by Neal Stephenson
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
I've read all of them except for the Mitchell and the Niffenegger.
"Iron Council" was a definite improvement on "The Scar". It also didn't have the issues which bothered some people in "Perdito Street Station" but as some people are bothered by things I cannot perceive, this is no
guarantee.
"Cloud Atlas" was a rich, complex, enjoyable read. I must reread it some day to see what is was all about. Or I could see the movie.
