Mischlinge. IIRC, people of mixed Jewish/German ancestry were allowed
to remain in place until they could be replaced with pure Germans.
Unlike Trump, Adolf & friends recognized economically essential people
when they saw them.
Later in the war, again IIRC, some German commanders were careful to
keep their successful and therefore valuable Mischlinge subordinates
out in the field whenever the Gestapo came to call. Ability to lead
counts in wartime.
Note that all the service branches appear to be part of the German
Armed Forces, not the Waffen-SS. /Their/ standards were much much more
stringent.
