There's apparently a plot twist in it that will be like a kick
in the teeth to a lot of fans of the comic book.

and ... well, I will probably watch it (why not? I watched /Man of
Steel/ and the following loser films) but it's going to have to be
/very/ well done for me to consider buying a disc of it.
That said, introducing Krypto into a live-action movie (note that I do
not say that Krypto himself is live-action) is nice.
As is the return of the gym shorts. They were sorely missed in the
prior abominations.
I mean, really, how hard is it to get the costume right? It's in every
single comic book panel showing Superman, after all.
