I remember the book fondly, but I wonder how you could possibly have
found out who its author was...

John Savard
Well, it helps to look at the title page. (I own the book.)
But if you mean, how did I know exactly where he lived, since the
Radaris listing doesn't even give his age, the answer is, he IS listed
in the Gale database "Biography in Context." (You might be able to
access that database via your library's website.)
Here's what Gale said, aside from the booklist I already posted:
"Family: Born June 3, 1924, in Bronx, N.Y.; son of Charles and Lillian
(Glaser) Liberty. Education: Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, B.S.,
1950. Politics: Independent. Religion: Jewish. Military/Wartime Service:
U.S. Army, World War II; served in Pacific; became sergeant.
Memberships: Authors Guild, Authors League of America.
"...Author of documentary film scripts and of many nonfiction articles,
particularly in the field of science."
