As it happens, here in Edmonton, where I live, an extreme heat warning
is in effect. However, the hot weather here is not nearly as bad as in
other regions of Canada, let alone the United States. Today's expected
high is 83 degrees Fahrenheit.

This was enough that when I decided to add a photograph of Edmonton's
monument to the Holodomor to the front page of my web site, I used one
available for Creative Commons licensing from Wikipedia, at least for
now, instead of hopping on the bus downtown to take my own picture of
it.
