Tor Books is thrilled to announce a legendary new acquisition from #1 New
York Times bestselling author duo Ilona Andrews: an original epic fantasy
romance saga that blends elements of heroic fantasy, romantasy, portal
isekai, and D&D with the authors??? signature blend of humor, emotion,
action,
and imagination.

Wow! Good compensation! On the other hand, never heard of them. I'd better
get started on my own magnum opus to rake in those figures as well! ;)

We have certainly talked about them here many times. They are excellent.

Is it romance? In that case, not my thing.
They vary, their major seris are
Kate Daniels - urban fantasy in a kind of post-apocalyptic world
where magic has returned and cycles with technology being active ifor
days or weeks
Kate Danials is the main character for most of these stories, she's a
swordswoman with some rare magic
Another major character is the werelion head of the local lycanthrope
guid.
There's been 2 spinoffs from there with different characters but I'm
not sure when we'll be getting the 2nd books in either of the spinoffs
The Edge series
there's anohter world twith magic that links with our world, the poor
in that world mostly live in The Edge region between them
Linked stories with different characters reappreading between them
The Inkeeper chronicles
Earth has made contact with a lot of different aliens who've been
visiting for 100s or 1000s of years. They maintain the secret and
largely stay at the Inns, magical places that can be configured for
any needs.
Gertrude Hunt is an inn that was pretty much decrepit before Dina
Demille took it over
Various guests (and enemies of guests) come to the Inn causing all
sorts of problems for Dina but also gaining her a useful reputation
with the other Innkeepers.
Hidden Legacy
The world has magic, the great houses have the most powerful magic and
attracting their attention commonly causes people to get squashed
Unfortunately the Baylor Family Detective agency owes the head of one
of the great houses and he has a task for them.
they all have some romance, I'd say the Kate Daniels are the least
romancy while Hidden Legacy & Inkeeper chronicles have the most
(although it's been a while since I read the Edge so I might be
underestimating it)
I'm not generally a big romance reader but they've got strong enough
writing and good enough plots that they're on my "order on news of a
new release"
