Here's where I found it - after including his middle name and
"Isleworth."
http://www.crimefictioniv.com/Part_30A.html
"TULLY, JOHN (KIMBERLEY). 1923-2019. Died in England, probably
Isleworth, Middlesex. (Adding the death date for the author in CFIV for
seven titles intended for adults learning to read.)"
What I posted in 2013:
Not to be confused with the much younger Australian historian, John A.
Tully.
Aka John Kimberley Tully, he lives in Isleworth, Middlesex. Author of
the "Inspector Holt" series.
He's also written TV plays, plus TV serials such as:
Tom's Midnight Garden, 1974,
Kizzy, 1976,
The Phoenix and the Carpet, 1977

SIDELIGHTS
"Drama was and is, I suppose, my first love because I was brought up in
the theatre, both sides of the family being up to their hairlines in
grease paint. My grandmother was writing popular melodramas and touring
them around England before I was born. My childhood memories are of
plays, revues, variety bills, and backstreet digs.
"I have written for a number of adult TV series as well as many
children's programmes and I have learned a curious fact, that popular
`adult material` is often the most `childish.` It's the kids who want to
know the truth about the world in terms more thoughtful and sincere."
