In fact, it's another one by Poul Anderson, and even further, another one in the Anderson collection Kinship with the Stars.[1]
This time, it's his story “Escape from Orbit”, where his intro says
“This was another story written around a cover painting - one that showed an orbiting spacecraft in flames. …”
