Which 1998 Nebula Finalist Novels Have You Read?
The Moon and the Sun by Vonda N. McIntyre
A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
Ancient Shores by Jack McDevitt
Bellwether by Connie Willis
City on Fire by Walter Jon Williams
King's Dragon by Kate Elliott
Memory by Lois McMaster Bujold
All of them. It gets grimmer from here.
Just the Bujold.
Which 1998 Nebula Finalist Novellas Have You Read?
Abandon in Place by Jerry Oltion
"... Where Angels Fear to Tread" by Allen Steele
Chrysalis by Robert Reed
Loose Ends by Paul Levinson
Primrose and Thorn by Bud Sparhawk
The Funeral March of the Marionettes by Adam-Troy Castro
A clean miss. In fact, although I am aware of him, I am not sure I've
ever read anything by Oltion.
I think I have read the Levinsno and the Sparhawk (both were in Analog),
the other 3 were in magazines which I have, but I don't recognize the
titles.
Which 1998 Nebula Finalist Novelettes Have You Read?
The Flowers of Aulit Prison by Nancy Kress
The Copyright Notice Case by Paul Levinson
The Dog's Story by Eleanor Arnason
The Miracle of Ivar Avenue by John Kessel
The Undiscovered by William Sanders
Three Hearings on the Existence of Snakes in the Human Bloodstream by James
Alan Gardner
We Will Drink a Fish Together ... by Bill Johnson
Just the Kessel, the Sanders, the Gardner.
Again, the Levinson (Analog again); not certain about the others.
Which 1998 Nebula Finalist Short Stories Have You Read?
Sister Emily's Lightship by Jane Yolen
Burning Bright by K. D. Wentworth
Itsy Bitsy Spider by James Patrick Kelly
The Crab Lice by Gregory Feeley
The Dead by Michael Swanwick
The Elizabeth Complex by Karen Joy Fowler
Just the Yolen, the Kelly, the Swanwick, and the Fowler, which I think
are also the stories that were in Starlight 1.
None? (though the description of the Kelly story in the ISFDB looks
familiar).
